> Bilingual (English/Spanish) educational psychology practice in Turlock, CA, serving families across California's Central Valley (Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Merced Counties — including Modesto, Turlock, Merced, Lodi, Tracy, Oakdale, and Ripon). Led by Laura Flores Beiswanger, a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP #4462) with over a decade of experience, the practice provides psychoeducational evaluations and counseling for children, teens, and adults with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety, and other learning, attention, and emotional challenges. ## FAQ

- **What is a psychoeducational evaluation?** Comprehensive testing of how a child learns, processes information, and manages attention and emotions, covering cognitive, academic, and social-emotional functioning.
- **Can you provide a diagnosis?** Yes. Evaluations can identify ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, anxiety, or depression when appropriate, with clear recommendations.
- **At what age can dyslexia be tested?** Often around age 6–7 once a child begins reading, but testing benefits older children, teens, and adults too.
- **Does the practice accept health insurance?** Insurance typically does not cover psychoeducational evaluations (not classified as medical). A Superbill is available on request for possible partial reimbursement, and CareCredit is accepted.
- **How much does an IEE cost?** IEEs are often funded by the school district when parents disagree with a school's evaluation; families have the right to request one at the district's expense.
- **Is a diagnosis required before coaching?** No. Neurodivergent coaching can begin at any time and can itself help clarify whether an evaluation would be beneficial.
